Both Oculus And PlayStation To Warn VR Headset Consumers About Accidental Bowel Leakage
VR headset manufacturers Oculus and Sony PlayStation will be packaging their new virtual reality headsets with a stern warning about the risks of accident bowel leakage, a condition sometimes called fecal incontinence.
A wide range of health issues present themselves with virtual reality technology including dizziness, motion sickness, disorientation and impotence – symptoms that the public have been aware of for quite some time. But in the spirit of transparency and public education both VR manufacturers will be posting labels on their packaging that some VR headset users may experience fecal incontinence. The warning labels advise users to either fast for 24 hours prior to the use of the headset, or to wear a diaper.
“Virtual reality users lose all sense of the real reality,” explains Dr. Walton VonWalgreen, “they get so consumed into their fake world that the brain disconnects from the body, and thus accidents will happen.”
Diaper usage among gamers is nothing new as adult diaper manufacturer Depends see increases in sales with every new edition of World of Warcraft. It is unknown if Oculus or Sony will be cross promoting their headsets with a diaper company at this time.
