Houston We Have $1.4 Million Dollar PS4 Problem!

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are bored to tears as their precious PlayStation 4 console recently took a dump on them.  The console, which is still within the original manufacturers warranty will no longer power on leaving the crew with nothing to do in their down time.

A NASA official who asked for anonymity reached out to the Gaming Free Press and explained that it will cost up to $1.4 million dollars to replace the broken console:

“Well first we need to send a Soyuz rocket to the space station.  Then we need to load the PS4 onto the return capsule.  Then the capsule needs to be recovered.  Then we need to call PlayStation and set up service.  Then we need to send the system in and have it repaired.  Then we need to have another Soyuz rocket return to the space station with the replacement PS4 console.  Each Soyuz mission costs several million dollars and the American Tax payers will need to foot the $1.4 million dollar expense for just the PS4 payload and recovery.”

No one knows for certain what the astronauts will do while waiting for their replacement console.  Several months ago NASA announced that the crew had access to both Netflix, and Hulu, but its uncertain if they used the PS4 console to access those services.

The Gaming Free Press will continue to follow this story.
