A new law meant to prohibit the sale of lead tainted items may halt the sale of used video games – thus making it illegal.
Environmentalists in California are petitioning for a new statute that would prohibit the sale of used video game cartridges on the basis that the solder in them contains lead and other carcinogens.
55 year old Janet Doublemint has been on the tear for decades and has recently received the support from some of California’s largest environmental terrorists.
“When my son was 19 he chewed up a Nintendo cartridge on a dare. Then several months later I caught him sucking on a SEGA Genesis game. When the doctors evaluated him, they told me he had all the symptoms of brain damage – damage that was clearly caused by the lead and carcinogens in those damn game cartridges.”
California already has rules against the resell of certain products due to safety concerns but this is the first time used games sales have been targeted.
