Popular telco company Verizon is on a purchasing rampage.
After announcing that they bought AOL a leak memo gave credibility to the crazy suggestion that Konami is not only for sale but that Verizon may be its next potentional owner.
Analysts have been quick to point out that any deal to purchase Konami is probably a good one as the software giant made several poor decisions lately including burying their Metal Gear Producer, announcing a new focus on casino operations, and the cancellation of a new Silent Hill game. A Verizon purchase can be the last ditch effort to keep several gaming IPs alive including CastleVania and Contra.
