Just weeks after the popular game is released, accusations of a server compromise are disappointing some.
At a high school in Compton California janitors continue to remove spray-paint and repair other vandalism from after a riot broke out over the popular Xbox One game Titanfall. Late Sunday night rival street gangs attempted to compete online only to find the game experiencing lag and frequent disconnects.
On a popular game forum someone wrote a post “Are the Titanfall servers hacked?” and that’s when all hell broke loose. Gangbangers traded their Xbox One controllers for bats, knives, and revolvers and took to the streets destroying random property. One property owner described the carnage:
“I was watching TV when suddenly I heard a loud noise. I went outside and there were angry kids everywhere. I wanted to tell them to get off my lawn but I was afraid they would attack me.”
Although it was believed that a max of 256 youths were involved, the Los Angeles County Police department wasn’t taking any chances and dispatched several SWAT teams to the area. Hospitals emergency rooms called in additional staff expecting heavy casualties and injuries but none were reported.
