Retro Twitch Streamer Will Beat His 714th And Last Nintendo NES Game This Sunday

If you are a fan of video games, even a casual fan – be sure to mark your calendars and remember what you were doing on 2/27/2017 because Piotr Delgado Kusielczuk, better known to his fans as TMR, or TheMexicanRunner is about to make history. After three years of dedicated gameplay, TMR is about to complete his NESMania – a quest to beat all of the licensed Nintendo NES games.

Most kids of the 1980’s and early 90’s were lucky to play only a handful of Nintendo titles, much less to beat a few, but TMR has seriously completed each and every one, saving Super Mario Bros. 3 for this Sunday.  But what has made this accomplishment unique is that TMR did it in front of a live audience on Twitch, with some games lasting 96 hours and being played over the span of several days.

TMR has a huge following of dedicated fans that often tune in to watch their hero, and not so much the games.  TMR is friendly, attractive, and appears to genuinely enjoy entertaining his fans.  Sometimes he would pause a game and pull out a guitar to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to a viewer, or sometimes he would chastise another for calling attention to how exhausted TMR was looking (which he considers incredibly rude to do).  Though perhaps one of his most endearing qualities is his love for his mom who he, on occasion would pause a game or stop a stream to help her.

Some of the more hilarious moments would be when TMR would break character when a game became particularly difficult by yelling obscenities at the TV in both English and Spanish, and his frequent use of the phrase “No Mames!” is now an integral part of almost every stream.  The stream has also taken a life of its own with the characters created along the course of the show including Poverty Shark, Manuel, and Hunny.

Make sure you tune in for this very special event on Feburary 26th at 12:00pm Eastern / 9:00am Pacific. https://www.twitch.tv/themexicanrunner
