Black Lung Studios gets ESRB rating for Smoking Simulator: It’s going to be rated E for Everyone.
The tobacco industry has deep pockets, and possibly now so does the ESRB who recently approved an E for Everyone rating for Black Lung Studios first title: Smoking Simulator. The game follows the life of a young man or woman who tries to achieve street credibility with their peers through smoking. As the game evolves you encounter other scenarios where you must use your smoking skills to get you out of hot water.
“This game is great,” explains Susan Munsk, “as a smoker myself it’s time we had a game of our own. Plenty of video games address social issues such as drugs or booze, but never cigarettes.”
The game is believed to be very achievement/trophy heavy with the highest accolades going to gamers if they complete the entire game without dying of lung cancer. Expect the game to be released Thanksgiving weekend 2014.
UPDATE: A special edition of Smoking Simulator will be available at launch which includes a branded Zippo lighter.
