moonBreakthrough Discovery Proves PSN Downtime Is Not Entirely Man Made

Scientists at the Lunar Institute of Physics and Chemistry (LIPC) in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi-Ken published a study Monday morning stating that the Moon’s gravity influences the PlayStation Network’s downtime.

From March of 2012 through January of 2016 the scientists compared the position and phase of the Moon relative to the network status of the popular gaming network and discovered something shocking: downtime will likely occur in parts of the world where the moon is visible, likely during one of its waxing or waning phases.

The Gaming Free Press interviewed several gamers who confirmed that there was definitely an eerie coincidence with their game time being cut off when the moon was visible.

The LIPC stated that there could be other planetary alignment phenomena that could influence the network, but extensive research is still needed.
