Online fans of baseball great Jose Canseco are looking to start a petition to have him featured on the cover of MLB The Show 15.
Jose Canseco is synonymous with baseball. So much so that online fans are now petitioning Sony Computer Entertainment America the maker of the game to feature him on the cover of MLB The Show 15 for PlayStation 3, 4 and PS-Vita.
MLB The Show has been one of the most important baseball video game and since 2006 every cover has featured a current popular player. But as of late the franchise has gotten stale and some fans believe Jose Canseco would be the cure.
Gary Bennett, a Las Vegas resident shared the following “MLB The Show is a decent game, but without Canseco, no one can seriously say its a baseball game. The rest of these players they put on the cover are amateurs compared to #33!”
Petitioning SCEA to break tradition may be no easy task as some analysts believe that featuring current and recognizable players is what sells the game.
