Nintendo’s first venture into the mobile games space is an Angry Birds/Super Mario cross over game.
Social media exploded Tuesday morning after it was revealed that Nintendo has partnered with DeNA to deliver mobile games based on Nintendo brands including of course Super Mario Bros.
As gamers and industry analysts speculated on what this would mean for the gaming giant, Nintendo’s stock increased 27% which is good news for the traditional console developer which has struggled to get the WiiU to catch on.
It is believed that the first title to be released with bee an Angry Birds/Super Mario cross over game. The Angry Birds IP has attempted to remain fresh by doing other cross over games with the StarWards and Transformers franchise so it makes sense for Nintendo to jump on that bandwagon.
