Nintendo To Announce That Yoshi Is More Popular Than Jesus H Christ

Nintendo who continues to struggle against Sony’s PS4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One will be releasing a press release soon stating that one of their flag ship characters Yoshi is more popular than Jesus H Christ.

Taking a sheet from the Beatles’ playbook announcing that something or someone is bigger than Jesus H Christ is nothing new as hundreds of celebrities have made similar claims over the years but it appears that this is the first time a video game company has been so brazen to formally make the statement.  The other interesting thing to note is that Nintendo has hard evidence to prove the statement.

A simple Google trends search of Yoshi and Jesus H Christ shows that Yoshi is the clear winner (click the photo for a close up):

Whether or not the statement will help or hurt Nintendo has yet to be seen.  Expect the formal announcement in August.
