the orderIt was only a few months ago that The Order 1886 was shaping up to be a great new IP for Sony and their flagship PlayStation 4 console.  But within minutes of the midnight launch several prominent retailers opened up their customer service department to provide refunds and exchanges.

Or so says several Twitter users who allege that GameStop is offering only $11 trade in value for what is an MSRP $60 game.  This might be the first time that a video game title depreciated to 18% of its original price within minutes of launch.

Part of the problem stems from early rumors that the game can be completed in about 5 hours, and several reports that the game itself – just isn’t fun.  Several prominent game review sites have given The Order 1886 poor reviews.

This story is still breaking and the Gaming Free Press continues to investigate.
