Nintendo continues to exploit nostalgia as a Super Nintendo themed 3DS might come available soon.
The streets of Akihabara are buzzing with rumors of a Super Nintendo (Super Famicom) themed 3DS will be coming to market (at least in Japan) very soon. Recently in North America Gamestop had exclusive distribution rights to an NES themed 3DS which has sold in great numbers with some Gamestops reporting low or no stock available (as of this writing it shows as being available on the Gamestop.com website).
Although it makes sense to make a Super Nintendo themed 3DS simply to push out more units, the real gem of this rumor is a compilation game to feature enhanced versions of some of Nintendo’s greatest SNES games including amongst others Yoshi’s Island and Super Mario RPG.
