People Turn Off Football And Turn On Twitch As Super Bowl Fails To Deliver An Exciting Game, Halftime Show, Or Amusing Commercials

Heads are rolling tonight at the offices of the National Football League as beleaguered fans give up on football and tune in to Twitch.  The game-streaming platform shattered viewership records for the third straight year as people would rather watch an attractive girl and her cleavage talk and pretend to play League of Legends.

“It’s the same sh-t year after year,” complained one former football fan who asked to remain anonymous.  “They do a kick off, there is passing, tackling, commercials with cats and political statements.  It’s a total bore fest!”

Some football fans were clearly agitated with the half time show, one woman in particular tweeted “Lady Gaga?  She’s the previous generation’s Lawrence Welk” to their 11 followers.

While eSports continues to gain in popularity, traditional sports continue to see a decline in ratings, fans, and most importantly advertisers.  While Pepsi was a major sponsor of the Super Bowl this year, it is likely they will not be spending any money on next year’s game.
